Continuation of our series, see previous post.
Last week, we spoke about the role we play when it comes to supporting farmers. Now it is time to do more. The all India lockdown due to the corona virus pandemic has cause a very difficult situation. Farmers who have spent months growing their crop are suddenly unable to sell their harvest. And on the other hand, thousands in our cities are going hungry because they have lost their daily wage, their homes, their food, as an effect of this situation. We need to understand our role to help farmers feed the hungry.
A community can make a difference if we work together. We have already taken some steps forward and helped farmers sell 3000 kg of their produce which has been used fruitfully to feed the needy.
