The pesco for dinner is outstanding and has been my favourite in cuba. The house is well located in the city center of Nueva Gerona, close to the ferry station and the main boulevard. The flat is independent from the rest of the house and it does include air conditioning in the bedroom. Alina was a superb host and gave us plenty of recommendations. Highly recommended! Alina siempre fue muy atenta y amable! Alina et sa famille vivent en dessous. Je recommande ce logement. Our stay at Marco's place was perfect. Our host, Pierpaolo was super accommodating and friendly. We got lots of tips on what to do in the area and he organised a boat trip to Punta Frances and a hiking trip with some locals who made our trip very memorable. Pierpaolo also owns a restaurant, Zayana, which I highly recommend, the food is amazing, the best we had on the island.
Thanks for hosting us! The transfer from the airport worked perfectly and the greetings from our host were more than welcoming. He even made us a perfect italien lunch. The room was fine for the standard of the island: clean, air condintioned, own bathroom, place outside :- The taxis, bycicles etc. The restaurant up top can provide you with a different meal than usual cuban food, which we tought to be a nice change for once.
Pierpaolo and the rest of the crew looked after us really well, it was a pleasure exploring the beautiful and unspoiled island during the day and spending the evenings listening to some lovely live suco suco, drinking rum and eating the best italian food outside Italy and fish too. If you fancy a real taste of the 'la isla' , that's the place to go!
Marco is an amazing host. Very friendly and helpful. If you're staying with him, he will arrange everything for you. You'll be taken care of. His restaurant is located in the same house which is handy. Pierpaulo was very helpful, responsive and makes the best coffee :. This is a good place to stay in Neuva Gerona, mostly because the host, Pierpaolo and the cook Alain are so friendly and helpful. We had the best food in all of Cuba, I think. He has 3 rooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs, with the kitchen and restaurant upstairs.
